Lightweight, very strong and flexible, paracord is a versatile rope that no outdoors-person should be without. There is no end to the everyday and outdoor survival uses. We've outlined just a few in our article "Emergency uses for Paracord".
Our nylon paracord is made by a certified supplier for the US department of Defense. It has the standard 7 strand core, and has been tested to hold up to 550 lbs. This is why we chose it to use in creating our patent pending PreparaCord(TM) belts! The colors available are Tactical Black, Olive Drab and Desert Sand, and you can purchase in quantities of 50', 100' and 1000'.
So throw a bundle in your trunk, or stuff some in your day pack....paracord is a practical tool you'll never regret carrying with you.
Note: Colors may vary from those pictured.

Always bring at least 25 feet of cord. 50 feet of cord is better. 550 Paracord can be used in a variety of useful purposes including construction of an emergency shelter, climbing, tying objects together, splinting broken bones, building a raft, snaring small game, making a spear, even constructing a bridge across a small stream. It's to important to be without, that's way don't rely on what stored in your pack! Backpacks get lost, fall down hillsides, wash down stream...
Pick up a paracord bracelet or belt (or both) to always have some on you. I wear a black paracord bracelet everyday camping or not.
