Whether you need a little more chopping power without wanting to lug around a heavy hachet or need to clear out some brush in a hurry, the Kurkri Machete is a great tool to have if you don't mind the extra size. Another Cold Steel classic, the Kukri is not only affordable, but tough and durable!
These blades are made out of 1055 Carbon Steel with a tough spring temper and are surfaced with a black, baked-on anti-rust finish. Each Cold Steel® machete comes with a good utility edge which, with just a little work, can be made hair shaving sharp. The tough, Polypropylene handles of our machetes are designed to provide a comfortable secure grip, and they are rugged enough to resist chipping, cracking or breaking, so they last practically forever.
You must be of at least 18 years of age to purchase this product. It is the buyers responsibility to check your local laws before buying.

This Cold Steel machetes is the only one that you will ever need. For the same price as most other machetes, these will not bend or warp, they hold a great edge and if you happen to bend or fold the edge(that's right, fold, because these don't chip), a file and a stone or steel make quick work of putting the blade back original. While it's not as thick as an actual Kukri blade, that is a benefit. It's much lighter and swings easier than the Kukris do. You will not regret buying one of these.

Most of Cold Steel items are very well made and this is one of them!
A faithful yet modern recreation of the KUKRI! Feels good in the hand, good heavy weighted blade for chopping power. Comes down with the force of an axe blade! I bought mine for my earthquake kit so I wanted to make sure it was tough. It took about 20min and a lot of water (for me) but I hack through a 2x4 piece of wood. Took time to learn the proper swing but once you get it and timing, you make short work of things.
I think the blade edge would have stayed sharp if it wasn't for some wild swings I made (I was getting tiered). Luckily the blade sharpens up fine!
My only "con" is I wish the spine was thinker like a real Kukri. Don't get me wrong, it's thinker then most machetees but not as thick as a true Kuukri. But it should meet most peoples needs and yes, its in my earthquake kit!
