Featuring a traditional Scandinavian ground blade and a modern thermoplastic grip, the Companion MG brings the past and present together in a shockingly affordable package! The military styled handle gives you comfort and control, while the 4 inch high carbon blade provides the same cutting finesse that Mora knives are famous for. This knife is almost the same as the Mora MG Carbon Steel Clipper, but with a different pattern on the handle. Includes a dark green sheath with belt loop and drain hole. Weighs a little over 2.5 oz (4 oz w/ sheath), total length is 8.5 in.

Go to YouTube and look for my "Disaster Preppers" channel and watch the "Public Service Announcement" I did about this knife. You know the polyethylene pipe for running water to your 'fridge? This knife cuts through that like a hot knife through butter. And has enough energy to slice your thumb, if you had it in the way. Like I did. 3 stitches.
Best knife I've ever owned. *Sharpest* knife I've ever owned.

I bought one of these for survival situations because a carbon blade can easily be honed in the wild with abrasive rocks. It requires some maintenance (oil the blade) but is well worth it. I was surprised that for such an affordable knife, it is razor sharp.
Someone told me that you can turn a carbon blade into a stealth black blade by immersing the blade in water with lemon juice, so I tried it. I waited until the blade was just the right darkness that I wanted, and removed it from the water. Then I lightly oiled the blade.
I love how it turned out, and the treatment hasn't affected the performance of the knife at all.

If you're unaware, all MORA Knives are simple, inexpensive, well made knives. Don't let the low price fool you! These blades are perfect for outdoor survival. They are issued to the UK SAS for survival training and Discovery Fans that watch "Dual Survival" will remember "Cody Lundin" wearing one of these around his neck in season one (Red handle version). The high carbon blade makes it easy to resharpen when the blade get dull and when used with a Fire Rod ensures quick hot sparks every time.
The blade length and shape is perfect for outdoor bushcraft, hunting and skinning.
Very light weight, drain hole for water crossing or rain and inexpensive enough if you had to break the handle (like to make a spear) or if you lose it, you won't feel the "pinch" so much.
I highly recommend this or any of the MORA knives listed here for at lest a back-up survival knife or all around camp knife for cooking. Great to have if nature takes your SOG, COLD STEEL, Boker or Spyderco knife away in the bush.
Great for earthquake/survival kits too.
